These experimental screen prints explore the theme of 'chaos and order. A series of grids were overlayed onto a series of intuitive, gestural brush strokes - chaotic elements were therefore combined with ordered ones in different combinations and colours. The aim of this exercise was to combine a systematic, rational approach with a more intuitive and subjective one. Chance operations began to occur where different colours overlapped each other, and accidental movements and pressure were applied to different areas of the compositions. In this way, the outcome of each piece could not be entirely controlled.
